It was learned from Zixing Finance Bureau that about 2 million yuan subsidies have been issued to ecological public forest. 1.70 million yuan of it was for the subsidies of 0.20 million mu municipal level ecological public forest (8.50 yuan/ mu), and 0.144 million yuan was for the insurance cost for the forest.

As one of the key forest cities (counties) of Hunan province, Zixing city is covered with 3.20 million mu forest land, accounting for 77% of the city’s land area and forest growing stock volume is about 11.46 million cubic meters, which enables the forest coverage of Zixing city to be 71.08%. Zixing Municipal Party Committee and Zixing Government paid great attention on public forest administration. Besides the 0.9132 million mu national level and 67,300 mu Hunan provincial level public forest confirmed in 2012, 0.20 million mu municipal level public forest was figured out in Zixing city as well. All the municipal level public forest was subsidized with the same level of national and Hunan provincial level subsidies as 10yuan/ mu. The total amount of 2 million yuan subsidies were covered into annual municipal level financial budget.
