According to the notice released by Hunan Tourism Landscape Ratings Board that 6 scenic spots of Hunan province were upgraded to national 4A landscape, including Banliang village of Yongxing county. Till now, there are 12 national 4A landscapes available in Chenzhou city.

Banliang village which is over 600 years history was established in late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty and became more prosperous in Ming and Qing Dynasty. It was used to be an important town of former Jinling county and also a commercial port of Guiyang, Leiyang and Changning. It is about 30,000 square kilometers big. Ancestral temples, old-style private schools, ancient commercial streets, old-style Chinese private banks, and etc. are available to be found here. More than 360 Ming & Qing Dynasty buildings were well preserved in the village. The exquisite crafts of tile carving, stone carving, and wood carving shown on the dwellings are amazed to all visitors. Due to the Chinese ancient patriarchal clan system, Confucianism tradition, geomancy concept, philosophy ideas, architectural skills, ecological theories, and etc. reserved in Banliang village, it was honored as “first village of south Hunan” with largest scale, best preservation, and deepest profound connotation. Banliang village was also awarded with the tile of the 5th batch “Chinese historical cultural village” by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the State Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Ministry. Last year, it was honored as one of the first batch of Hunan “most beautiful ancient villages and towns”.

It was introduced that in recent years, Banliang village followed the requirements of national 4A landscape and protection of historical cultural village to enhance the infrastructure construction, transportation construction, and supporting landscape facilities. In recent three years, over 100million yuan was placed on its projects construction.

Currently, the 12 national 4A landscapes of Chenzhou city are as follow: Mount Mang National Forest Park, Suxianling Landscape, Wanhuayan Landscape, Longnv Landscape, Heaven Hot Spring, Wangxianling Landscapt. Jiulongjiang National Forest Park, Hunan Baoshan Mine Park, Feitian Mountain National Geological Park, Field Park Landscape, Fuquan Villa, and Banliang Village.
