147 key projects covering 153 billion yuan investment were promoted by Chenzhou city

Opening ceremony for first South Hunan Undertaking Industrial Transfer Trade Fair was held in Chenzhou city

More than 1500 merchants attended the fair

Opening ceremony for first South Hunan Undertaking Industrial Transfer Trade Fair was held in Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center on November 28, 2013. It was with the theme of “greening undertaking and concentrated development”. More than 1500 merchants from the cities of Hunan province and overseas attended the fair.
Sheng Maolin- Deputy Governor of Hunan Province was present at the opening ceremony and announced its inauguration. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee delivered a speech in the ceremony. Xie Jianhui- Minister of Hunan Provincial Ministry of Commerce hosted the ceremony. Some other Hunan provincial leaders, Chenzhou municipal leaders, Hengyang municipal leaders, and Yongzhou municipal leaders attended the opening ceremony as well.

The fair was co-hosted by Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, Hunan Provincial Development & Reform Commission, Chenzhou Government, Hengyang Government and Yongzhou Government. It was undertaken by Hunan Provincial Ministry of Commerce and Chenzhou Government. It was the first high level trade fair held in the demonstration area of south Hunan undertaking industrial transfer.

147 projects which were conform to national investment direction and industrial policies and were with high market expectation and return were issued by Chenzhou city during this fair. All the projects accounting for 153 billion yuan investment were divided to five categories as new industry, modern service industry, agricultural industry, industrial park construction, and infrastructure, covering deep processing of non-ferrous metals , electronic information, new materials, bio-medicine , advanced equipment manufacturing , light industry and tourism, modern service industry and other industries.

Entrusted by Xu Shousheng- Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Director of Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee and Du Jiahao- Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Hunan Province, Sheng Maolin expressed warm congratulations for the opening of first South Hunan Undertaking Industrial Transfer Trade Fair. Sheng also stated it was a significant economy and trade fair to play best role of the demonstration area of south Hunan undertaking industrial transfer on undertaking more transfer projects and accelerating development of open economy. It was also significant for further opening up of south Hunan area to promote Hunan province social and economy development.

Sheng sincerely hoped all the cities of Hunan province especially three cities in south Hunan province fully demonstrated their achievements on undertaking industrial transfer with the platform of demonstration area to connect with domestic and foreign markets and speed up the upgrading and transformation of economy. At the meantime, the demonstration area should be upgraded as a new platform of undertaking industrial transfer in central China, leading area of inter-regional cooperation, concentration area of processing trade and pilot area of transformation development.

Xiang Lili stated on his speech that many achievements were reached in Chenzhou city in recent years, such as establishment of one national export processing zone, establishment of 11 Hunan provincial industrial transfer parks, better improvement on construction of platforms, promotion of establishment of national high-tech zone, comprehensive bonded zone, and“dry port” city, and fulfillment of construction of Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center. All of those greatly helped to upgrade the image and quality of Chenzhou city’s further opening up and improve its service for south Hunan undertaking transfer as well.

Xiang also said not only first South Hunan Undertaking Industrial Transfer Trade Fair was held in Chenzhou city, the fairs afterward would be settled down here as well. Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center would become an important exhibition platform for the three cities of south Hunan province even the whole province. Chenzhou city would seize the chance of upper level government’s trust and support to improve its function and forge a new exhibition brand accordingly.

It was introduced that the key activities for this fair are opening ceremony, investment condition introduction & key project promotion conference for national demonstration area of South Hunan undertaking industrial transfer, summit for the central China’s undertaking industrial transfer investment, investment conference for the key projects of undertaking industrial transfer and exhibition for this first trade fair.
