Market background:
Hunan Province is an energy shortage inland province and the energy supply is becoming increasingly tight. In Hunan's energy consumption, the output is about 50% and the external dependence is about 50% with large energy-supply gap. Therefore, Hunan Province has put new energy, energy-saving and environmental protection into the key projects of the provincial strategic emerging industry development planning, given full play to the advantages of the existing industry and made every effort to develop the new energy industry with the opportunities for the state to vigorously support the development of new energy industry to ease the growing demand for energy.
Solar cells, wind power generation and biomass energy application are the basic strategies of developing new energy in Hunan Province.
In recent years, the wind energy projects have developed well in Hunan Province. In 2017, 76 wind power construction projects were announced, totaling 379 million kilowatts, and the investors were the new energy major enterprises all over the country, such as CGN, TBEA Sunoasis, Sinohydro Group, CR Wind Power, China Guodian, Sany Heavy Industry, Envision, XEMC and other enterprises. All wind power resources in Hunan Province reach 2000 kilowatts, while only more than 10% of wind power is put into production at present, and nearly 90% of wind power resources need to be further developed. With the deepening of wind power technology innovation and the increase of economic development reserves, the development and construction of mountain wind power stations will be developed.
Hunan biomass energy also has extraordinary potential in the long term. The straw, twigs, distillers'grains, husks and other biological resources can be used to generate electricity with good effect. At present, Hunan has developed dozens of excellent enterprises. Hunan also has owned a good technical foundation for the development of biomass energy industry (biodiesel), with 2 research institutes engaged in biodiesel research and teaching, and 8 colleges and universities, set up a professional platform for the development and research of biomass energy, undertook a series of major projects at the national level and obtained a series of independent intellectual property rights.
