It was learned from the establishment office of Chenzhou that in order to establish Chenzhou city to be national ecological garden city, new targets were set for the greening of Chenzhou urban area. Chenzhou city would tries to reach following targets for urban built-up area in 2016: 41.7% greening rate, over 44.5% greening coverage rate, 12.6 square meters per capita park land and 70% trees and shrubs rate of the greening areas.
Some effective measures would be carried out by Chenzhou city to reach those targets. It would perfect the greening of urban roads by promoting the construction of boulevards and supplementing the greening of nodes and gaps of roads. The greening upgrading work for arterial roads, secondary main roads, and backstreets would be fully implements. The greening rate for the urban roads would be up to 100%. Parks and gardens construction should be fully promoted to form the tree-lined landscape of parks and gardens. The per capita park land should be up to 12.6 square meters in 2016.
The rivers and lakes of urban areas would be upgraded with better greening condition and naturalization of waster coastlines would be perfected along with the promotion of greening upgrading and construction of greening belts. The tree-lined squares and tree-lined parking lots would be promoted to improve the construction of public facilities greening lands. It should reach the targets of 95% rate of public facilities greening land, 70% greening coverage of squares, and 60% tree-lined parking square.
The establishment of Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal garden departments would be promoted by beautifying the communities and courtyards to upgrade the greening level of urban departments, courtyards, and communities. The greening rate for the newly built and reconstructed communities should be 100%. It should make sure that all citizens can enjoy the green view on stepping outside. Furthermore, the vertical planting work would be promoted to upgrade the green looking ratio; and the treatment for loess denudation would be carried out continuously to recover the ecological landscape of the damaged and discarded lands.
