It was reported that the site meeting of Hunan provincial patriotic and sanitary work & the video and telephone conference for the treatment of urban and rural environment and sanitary condition was held in Yiyang city on August 24, 2015. Chenzhou city, Yiyang city, Loudi city and Yongzhou city which were named as “national sanitary city” were delivered with the plague. The representatives of Chenzhou city and Yiyang city addressed typical speeches on the establishment of national sanitary city on the conference.

The establishment of national sanitary city is a significant measure for improving people’s living condition, upgrading city level and promoting the sound and fast economic and social development. Chenzhou city decided to establish national sanitary city in April, 2009.

Chenzhou city set up and perfected the government investment mechanism, leadership responsibilities mechanism, departmental coordination mechanism and social participation mechanism after launching the“establishment of national sanitary city”. Along with the mobilization and propaganda in the whole city and implementation of infrastructure construction, comprehensive retreatment of environment and city management, ten battles as comprehensive treatment of city image, environment and sanitary, retreatment of farmers’ markets in urban area, retreatment for the sanitary condition of urban villages and urban-rural junction places, and etc. were handled out in Chenzhou city. Thanks for those 6-year hard work and great efforts, Chenzhou city’s infrastructure condition, living condition, comprehensive management level, people’s sanitary quality and people’s happiness index were greatly improved. In this March, Chenzhou city was honored with the title of “national sanitary city”.
