“Chenzhou city would carry out a‘ green shade action’with the key contents of construction of green way, green garden, green courtyard, green parking lot, and vertical planting to form a urban green pattern and lay solid foundation for the establishment of national ecological garden city. ” introduced by the principal of establishment office of Chenzhou city on April 6, 2014.
It was introduced “6 projects” would be carried out for the “green shade action”: urban green roads, green landscapes for gardens and squares, greening for the courtyard, green parking lots, vertical planting and restoration of mountain and water ecology. It planned to build Chenzhou Avenue as a national top level ecological landscape demonstration avenue by handling some greening work. It would try best to set up the green road system in the end of 2016 that its green road promotion rate is higher than 85%, the rate of green square and parking slot is over 60% and the rate of green community and courtyard is over 50%.

Chenzhou city would also build some green landscapes for the parks, gardens and squares, and would plant some trees on the mountain top gardens based on specified regulations. At the meantime, an emergency adapting garden with perfect marking and facilities would be built in Chenzhou city and it would try to improve the implementation rate of emergency adapting place of the gardens to be over 70%. Furthermore, a national top level mountainous park ecological circle would be established in Chenzhou city as well and its city square green coverage rate would be over 70%. It would try to upgrade the urban per capita garden areas to be 12.6square meters/person, greening rate to be over 41.7% and green coverage rate to be 45.5%.

The vertical planting would be fully promoted in Chenzhou city. Some climbing plants would be planted in some walls, house surface, balconies, bridge posts, and etc. to upgrade the greening rate and coverage rate of Chenzhou city. A roof greening demonstration area in old urban area which would be enrolled into the first phalanx of Hunan province would be established there. Meanwhile, it would carry out some other greening work based on practical condition and would build some Chenzhou characteristic greening hubs with Chenzhou cultural and spirit by combining with the functions and results of ecological greening and protection.
