It was reported that in order to protect and utilize Nanling area’s ecological tourism resources, some leaders, experts and representatives of tourism industry from 6 cities of 4 provinces as Hunan, Guangxi, Jiangxi and Guangdong province gathered together to share their ideas on Nanling area’s tourism and economy development in the seminar of construction of Nanling ecological tourism and ecological function zone on September 19, 2014.

The seminar was hosted by Hunan Tourism Bureau, Chenzhou Government, and Central South University of Forestry and Technology. Four experts from Sun Yat-sen University, Jiangxi Tourism Planning Research Institute, Guangxi University and Central South University of Forestry and Technology delivered their speeches on the construction of Nanling National Park, cooperation and development of Nanling ecological tourism function zone, ecological compensation of Nanling ecological function zone and culture context of Nanling ecological tourism development. Professor Zhang Chaozhi presented a construction model for Nanling National Park as inter-regional construction with the entity of self-driving, camp (limo camp), small inn, and boutique inn, key point of activities and cultivation of small and medium-sized enterprises, priority of ring-type road construction, and etc. Dean Hong Wenyi stated “six-joint” idea for the tourism cooperation of Nanling area as joint construction of mechanism, joint expansion of market, joint promotion of products, joint construction of brand, joint removal of obstacles, and joint sharing of results. Professor Yang Yongde stated the ecological compensation of Nanling should be followed the mixed model of hematopoietic compensation and transfusion compensation. Professor Zhong Yongde stated that Hakka culture in the east area and Yao minority culture in the west area should be the main cultural vein of Nanling ecological tourism development.

On the conference, Qingyuan, Hezhou, Ganzhou, Shaoguan, Yongzhou and Chenzhou city reached the consensus on the declaration of promotion of Nanling ecological tourism. All of them would enhance the protection of Nanling ecological protection, accelerate the speed to launch the plan of “joint construction of Nanling International Ecological Tourism Zone”, establish Nanling clear tourism cooperation mechanism, comprehensively promote Nanling tourism boutique routes, enhance the construction of Nanling tourism brand and regional marketing, and cultivate the tourism talents to promote Nanling ecological tourism construction together, reach the coordinate development of regional ecology, economy and society and create new prosperity of Nanling area.

Gao Yangxian- Deputy Director of Hunan Tourism Bureua, Liu Wenjie- Deputy Minister of Hunan Finance Department, Tan Yimin- Vice President of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, and Zhang Aiguo- one of the municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the seminar.
