Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City was was in an interview with some domestic and foreign media

Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City accepted the interview with the domestic and foreign media which attended “Attractive CMGS, Global Sharing”- press conference of large scale interview activity for domestic and foreign media of Chenzhou CMGS on May 4, 2016.

Qu Hai said Chenzhou city aimed to promote the transformation and upgrading of some traditional industries as non-ferrous metals and transform advantages on resources into industries by handling the CMGS successfully. Along with the upgrading of consumption, the consumption and collection of gemstones are with huge potential. During “13th five-year plan” period, Chenzhou city would seize the chance of fixing CMGS in the city permanently to improve the exhibition and trading of mineral gems to be a new pillar industry, and promote the transformation of mineral economy from underground to over ground, black to green, and secondary to tertiary industry. Currently, Chenzhou city is working on the exploration, investigation, and protection of mineral gem resources. Some more favorable Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal policies were issued to promote and guide the development of mineral gem industry and the construction of Mineral Gem Industrial Park.

Qu Hai said it aims to enhance people’s awareness on resource protection by handling the CMGS. In recently years, the order of mine industry was well regulated and mineral resources were well protected by specifying ecological red line, fighting against excessive digging of mines, and introducing of powerful enterprises to handle comprehensive exploration. People were more aware of the value of crystal minerals from the show and were educated better understanding for the protection of mineral resources.

Qu stated that as a sub-center for the exhibition and convention of Hunan province, Chenzhou city would try more efforts to upgrade the exhibition economy brand, improve the show to be more competitive with America Tucson Show and Germany Munich Show, and promote the integration of exhibition economy with commerce, tourism, sports and other industries.

Qu also introduced that this show is operated with higher level marketization that professional exhibition company was established and some private economies were in charge of the preparation of the show. More investors and professional talents would be introduced into the industry via market mechanism operation. The show is also with higher level specialization that more experts and scholars would be invited to attend some professional forums. It would help to enhance the international academic communication and popularize the protection of resources. The show is with higher level of internationalization as well that more international exhibitors and scholars would attend the show, and Chenzhou city would establish the sister city relationship with Tucson of the USA and Kimberly of South Africa on the show. It would help to extend the international influence of the show.
