It was reported that 2014 Chenzhou“Badminton Group Championship for Establishment of National Forest City” was launched on June 14, 2014. 22 delegations from the counties, districts and subordinate departments of Chenzhou city attended this game which would last for 2 days. Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee announced the beginning of this championship.

It was introduced that this game was sponsored by Chenzhou Steering Committee of National Fitness Program, Office of Establishment of National Forest City and Chenzhou Sports Bureau, and was undertaken by Chenzhou Badminton Association. The competition items included first men’s doubles (90-year-old combination), first mixed doubles (80-year-old combination), second men’s doubles (80-year-old combination), third men’s doubles (random combination), and second mixed doubles (random combination). It was followed best of five sets. The winner can be awarded with 4000yuan praise.

It was introduced by the staffs of the sponsors that it was purposely to propaganda the significance of establishment of national forest city and form an active atmosphere in the city to promote the establishment work. Furthermore, it aimed to improve the badminton game’s development in Chenzhou city and mobilize more citizens to join in the national fitness program.
