It was reported that Beihu Yangtian Lake Harvest Festival was opened on September 4, 2016. Li Jianjun who is the Vice Secretary-General of Chenzhou Government announced the launching of fishing. Some leaders of Beihu District attended the ceremony.

Art performances were shown on the opening ceremony, as well as some other activities which enable visitors to enjoy themselves well there.

It was learned that the harvest festival is one of the four main events of 2016 Hunan Chenzhou 1st Beautiful Rural Tourism and Culture Festival. It was sponsored by Chenzhou Tourism and Foreign Affairs Bureau and Beihu District Government and was undertaken by Yangtian Lake Yao Minority Town, Chenzhou Association of Self-Driving and Campervan. The event would be last till September 24, 2016. During that period, all visitors can have funs by joining in some colourful rural tourism activities.

It is purposely to popularize the fame of Yangtian Lake’s elegant sceneries and good harvest of rice and fish by holding this festival, as well as implement the strategy of popular tourism. It was aimed to improve the festival to be a famous tourism brand of Chenzhou city.
