When reporters arrived at Tianzhuang village, Rucheng town, Chenzhou city, farmers were busy in their characteristic agricultural production as red bayberry, watermelon and some other vegetables. Due to the harvest of products, many buyers gathered here to purchase the high quality products, some visitors were attracted here to enjoy the garden life as well.

In recent years, a characteristic agriculture development plan was figured out by Tianzhuang township party committee and government to promote every village with at least one special agricultural industry. At the mean time, some measures on land transfer, specialized cooperatives, agricultural infrastructure construction, favorable policies, etc. were greatly helped to attract large amount of investment funds. Red bayberry, tea planting, organic vegetable, ecological forest, and some other unique agricultural industries were formed gradually.

Besides great support on the leading agricultural enterprises, the village also paid much attention on the cultivation of plant growers who played an important role in encouraging local people to join in the improvement of characteristic agriculture industry.

Till now, 8 unique industrial bases have been successfully established in the village. They were for different agricultural industries, such as green vegetables, tea, red bayberry, areca nut, pod pepper, watermelon, etc.. Along with the development of those industries development, the income of farmers was with an increase of 1200 yuan per capita.
