On April 9, 2013, Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou Government took an investigation on Chenzhou urban city planning, management and greening work. Qu stated that city upgrading and promotion of the construction of “Beautiful Chenzhou” should be accelerated by sound planning with unique characteristics.

Different from former investigations, Qu Hai and his team took natural gas public bus instead of cars. This bus was one of the new natural gas buses bought at the end of 2013 which was intended to decrease pubic bus emission.

Followed by the planned routes without traffic control and police cars’ guide, Qu Hai and his team traveled Chenzhou city by the public bus. Qu said: “the main purpose for this investigation was to check the upgrading work carried on Chenzhou transportation construction, management and greening.”

The key sites for Qu’s trip were Wuguang new district, Luoxian park, Shiliuwan park, Beihu lake park, Donghe wetland park, east new district, etc.. Qu discussed with the team to solve the problems found out on site.

By summarizing the comments with the team, Qu stated that in order to accelerate the city upgrading, unique characters should be highlighted to forge the fine project, speed up the construction of “Beautiful Chenzhou” and build the livable city. All the work should be guided with sound planning to promote the famous landscape city, forest city and central city construction with stronger city management mechanism and better city image.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city accompanied Qu with this investigation.
