What are the three indexes of establishing a national garden city?

They are greening coverage rate, green land rate, and urban per capita garden green land area. It would be vetoed for the establishment of a garden party if there is one index without meeting the standard. Now, with the great efforts of all Chenzhou citizens, the three indexes of Chenzhou’s establishment work on a national garden city has already exceeded the investigation standards.

There are four veto factors on the establishment work of a national garden city, like “three indexes”, city green land planning system, green line planning and implement, processing rate of rubbish, and processing rate of sewage. Once one index of the above four can’t meet the stand, the city would be not inaugurated as a national garden city.

Among the four standards, “three indexes” takes the most important part. Compared with the standards of three indexes, Chenzhou city have fulfilled them well. Such as, Chenzhou now is with 38.31% greening coverage rate, compare to the standard’s 36%, green land rate is with 36.21%, compared to the standard’s 31%, and urban per capita garden green land area is with 9.53 square meters, while the standard is just 9 square meters.

Besides the “three indexes”, Chenzhou city also get on well with the park arrangement, courtyard greening and some other indexes. Now 17 parks, 5 squares, 28 small parks and street green lands have been set in different areas of Chenzhou city, which enabled Chenzhou with park green land rate of 74.18%, higher than 70% of the standard. Meanwhile, on courtyard greening work, 173 units’courtyards were successfully established to be provincial and municipal courtyard units which takes 81% of the total ones and 46 communities were created to be provincial and municipal greening communities with 65% of all.
